Dallas Rattlers News Release
Quincy, MA - The Dallas Rattlers defeated the Boston Cannons Saturday night by a score of 13-10 to extend the team's winning streak to five games.
The Rattlers entered the matchup as the hottest team in Major League Lacrosse having won four straight games after starting the season 0-7. The Cannons entered the game at the top of MLL standings.
In the first half, the Rattlers dominated the scoring 10-5. The visitors were led by Bradley Voigt and Jack Curran with three goals each. Goalkeeper Sean Sconone made nine saves on 13 shots on goal to help the Rattlers to an early lead.
In the second half, the scoring slowed for the Rattlers as the team scored only three goals in the final two quarters. Solid play from faceoff specialist Noah Rak (13-26) and stingy netminding from Sconone stifled any chance of a Cannons comeback.
The season series between the two sides now sits at 2-1 in the Cannons favor. The Rattlers now sit in fifth place just one game behind the Denver Outlaws.
Next up for the Rattlers is a road matchup tomorrow with the Chesapeake Bayhawks. Faceoff is set for 4 p.m. CDT. Watch live for free on Stadium.
