Ogden Raptors News Release

In a game that had everything-lead changes, late-inning fireworks, and a full-on eighth-inning eruption-the Raptors came out on top.

Ogden stormed back from a 15-12 deficit with a seven-run bottom of the eighth, pulling away to win a wild 19-15 slugfest over the Northern Colorado Owlz on Saturday night at Lindquist Field.

The win makes it six straight and secures a 5-0 series lead with one game still to go.

Kyler Stancato kept his monster week going with a 3-for-4 night, five RBIs, and a go-ahead three-run homer in the sixth. He reached base four times and even drove in a run after getting hit by a pitch during the eighth-inning rally.

Cole Jordan added three hits and four RBIs-including the biggest swing of the night, a bases-clearing double in the eighth that reearned the Raptors the lead. Christopher Sargent Jr. homered for the second straight night and drove in four.

Every starter in the Raptors' lineup reached base, and Ogden piled up 19 hits and 10 walks in a game that featured a combined 34 runs and 32 baserunners.

On the mound, Nik Cardinal came on in the eighth and shut things down, earning the win with an inning and a third scoreless innings to stop the bleeding after the Owlz had put up six runs earlier in the frame.

The Raptors improve to 20-15 on the season and will look to complete the sweep on Sunday.

Tomorrow is Free Food Sunday at Lindquist Field! Select concession items will be completely free while supplies last-so come hungry and get here early before first pitch kicks off at 1:00 PM.
