Raptors to hold Rally Towel Night

Hard-hitting United Indoor Football returns to the "Rock Pile" on Saturday night when Rock River wraps up a three-game home-stand against Central Division rival Bloomington. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

The first 3,000 people through the gates at the MetroCentre receive an official RAPTORS RALLY TOWEL courtesy of Mountain Dew and Fox 39-TV.

The meeting in Rockford will be the second of three this season between the Raptors and the Extreme. After Saturday's match-up, the two teams will tee it up for the final time on June 24th at the "Rock Pile".

Rock River defeated Bloomington 36-34 on April 8th when Raptors quarterback Ben Sankey hit wide receiver Luke McArdle for a 27-yard touchdown pass with two seconds left in the game.

The Raptors are coming off a 41-30 loss to the Omaha Beef. McArdle caught seven passes for 88 yards and 1 touchdown reception. Sankey threw two touchdown passes and no interceptions and had 130 yards passing.

The former Wake Forest signal caller and Grey Cup Champion is second in the UIF in passing yards behind Ohio Valley's Matt Kohn. Sankey has thrown for 1,040 yards while Kohn has 1,131 yards.

Rock River is now 3-3 heading into Saturday's game against the Extreme. Bloomington is coming off their bye week. The Extreme dropped a 67-29 decision to the Greyhounds on April 22nd in Wheeling, West Virginia.

RAPTOR NOTES

RAPTOR PARK will open at 5:30 p.m. and will remain open until game time. Great food such as Burgers, Brats, Hot Dogs and Chips will be available for purchase along with beer, soda and water. Music for Raptor Park will be provided by Rat Baxter, a classic rock cover band that plays all of the great classic rock hits to get the fans ready for the big game.
