
Raptors team up with Northern Illinois Food Bank

ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Rock River Raptors of the United Indoor Football (UIF) league announced today that they have partnered with the Northern Illinois Food Bank (NIFB) for the 2007 season.
On Saturday, Nov. 11, members of the Raptors staff will be at the NIFB packing food boxes for the annual Holiday Meal Box program. The program delivers a traditional holiday meal for a family of eight.
During the Raptors' season, the NIFB will be at all home games collecting non-perishable food items. For each non-perishable food item donated, fans will receive one Raptor Buck. Raptor Bucks can be used towards any merchandise purchase, with a maximum of five Raptors Bucks allowed per purchase.
NIFB has a network of 520 food pantries, shelters, soup kitchens and nonprofit food sites to assist people living in poverty in 13 northern Illinois counties. Please visit www.northernilfoodbank.org for more information.
