
Raptors' Sankey and Daniel Receive League Honors

ROCKFORD, Ill. -- The Rock River Raptors of the United Indoor Football (UIF) league announced today that Ben Sankey was named League MVP and Offensive Player of the Year and Doug Daniel received UIF Special Teams Player of the Year.
Sankey lead the league in total offense with 3,091 yards (220.8 yards/game). His 67.5% completion rate (262-of-388), 2,951 passing yards and 210.8 yards passing per game led the league as well. He is the only quarterback, this season, to average over 200 yards per game.
Daniel finished the season first in scoring by a kicker with 166 points and is the only kicker to average double-digit points per game (11.9). His total points were also good enough for third in overall scoring. Daniel's 59.6% of field goal completions and 31 field goals made topped the league.
