
Raptors Round Out Coaching Staff for 2012

The Everett Raptors along with Head Coach Sean Ponder are pleased to announce their 2012 assistant coaching staff.
Assistant Head Coach/Special Teams Coordinator, Michael Custer has been involved with the game of football as a player and coach for over 28 years, including stints in the AFL, AF2, and the IFL. He has worked with Coach Ponder previously with the Quad City Steamwheelers, Fairbanks Grizzlies, and last year with the Seattle Timberwolves.
Defensive Coordinator, William McCarthy is a Kentucky native and Morehead State University graduate, he will be a valuable asset to the Raptors organization bringing with him several years of coaching experience and a deep understanding of the game.
Line Coach/Director of Player Personnel, Montra Edwards is no stranger to the indoor game. Since beginning his professional coaching career in 2005, he has been with teams in the NIFL, AF2 and IFL and was the Coach of the 2006 National Indoor Football League Champs, the Billings Outlaws.
Offensive Line Coach, Ryan Lippencott, played Center for Western Washington University. He is active in the community and coaches youth football in the fall. This will be the second season Coach Lippencott has worked with Ponder, Custer and Crecelius having been the O-Line coach last season for the Seattle Timberwolves.
Defensive Line Coach Mike Crecelius played and coached semi-pro football for the Snohomish County Vikings and has also served as the defensive line coach at Cascade High School and previously coached in the Arena Youth Football League. He was also on the assistant coaching staff for the Seattle Timberwolves in 2011 with Coach Ponder and will be a great addition to the staff.
Wide Receiver Coach/Equipment Manager, Darrick Reeves has been an equipment manager for over 10 years and brings his expertise to the Raptors this year for the first time however this is not the first time he's worked with Coach Ponder and Coach Custer. He has worked in college football as well as the AF2 and recently has been successfully coaching high school football in Moline, IL, where he lives.
Coach Ponder says, "Putting a quality product on the field is our goal. We want to win football games and in order to do that I needed to make sure I signed assistant coaches who could add to the positive chemistry of our team. This group of guys is talented and knowledgeable."
The Everett Raptors play their first home game of the 2012 season on March 1st at Comcast Arena in Everett, WA.
