
Raptors reassign Tucker to D-League

The Toronto Raptors announced Monday they have reassigned rookie forward P.J. Tucker to the Colorado 14ers of the NBA Development League. He is expected to be in uniform for the 14ers' next game Friday versus Los Angeles.
Tucker appeared in 14 games with the 14ers after being assigned to the D-League on January 5. He averaged 10.3 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.6 assists while recording a personal best 16 points January 19 versus Anaheim. He was recalled to Toronto on February 5.
Tucker, 21, was selected by the Raptors in the second round (35th overall) of the 2006 NBA Draft. He had seen action in 17 games this season contributing 30 points and 23 rebounds in 83 minutes. He posted career highs of 12 points and nine rebounds December 19 at Phoenix.
Tucker will continue to be included on the Raptors' roster and will remain on the team's inactive list.
Colorado, who is led by head coach Joe Wolf, has been designated as Toronto's D-League affiliate for the 2006-07 season. In addition to the 14ers, the 12-team NBA D-League includes the Albuquerque Thunderbirds (N.M.), Anaheim Arsenal (Calif.), Arkansas Rimrockers (Little Rock), Austin Toros (Texas), Bakersfield Jam (Calif.), Dakota Wizards (Bismarck, N.D.), Fort Worth Flyers (Texas), Idaho Stampede (Boise), Los Angeles D-Fenders, Sioux Falls Skyforce (S.D.) and Tulsa 66ers (Okla.).
