Raptors announce open tryouts

Rock River Raptors News Release


ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Rock River Raptors of the United Indoor Football (UIF) league announced their 2007 open tryouts at the press conference held yesterday afternoon.

The tryouts will be held Sunday, Nov. 19, 2006 from 12-4 p.m. at the Metro Centre (300 Elm St. Rockford, Ill. 61101). Registration forms are available on the Raptors website www.raptorsuif.com and at our office (110 N. Main St. 61101). The cost is $40 for those who pre-register by Monday, Nov. 13 and $50 the week of tryouts. Fans are encouraged to come out and watch, free of charge.

Head Coach Rik Richards also revealed that he has re-signed his entire Central Division Championship staff for another season. Some of the coaches returning in new positions are Jack Phillips, Assistant Head Coach, Dave Jones, Offensive Coordinator, and Billy Sanders, Defensive Coordinator.
