Rapids School kicks off

The first "Rapids School" Basketball Clinic is being held Saturday, October 15th! Sponsored by the Rapids & Mount St. Joseph Academy, it is located on the school's campus at 2064 Main St. in Buffalo starting at 9am.

Rapids players will conduct clinics for individual age groups from ages 8 though 18. Registration is $15.00. Rapids players in attendance will be Trevor Ruffin, Jean Paul Afif, Modie Cox, Andy Bush, Carlton Brown, Kevin Ross, and Brad Buddenborg.

Coach Jacob and the Rapids will be going over the fundamentals surrounding the game of basketball that make a team successful both on and off the court. In addition to teaching dribbling skills the Rapids will talk about the importance of education. Rapids Forward, Jean Paul Afif, is a wonderful example of how important having education as a part of your game plan is. Afif is currently attending University of Buffalo's Masters Program

Clinics will culminate with a Rapids full practice beginning at 11:30 a.m. in the Mount St. Joseph Academy gymnasium! General Admission is $5.00.
