
Rapids Host 2012 Kickoff Luncheon on March 7

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (Friday, February 3, 2012) - The Colorado Rapids will host the annual Kickoff Luncheon with Colorado Rapids players and Head Coach Oscar Pareja at the Denver Marriott City Center on Wednesday, March 7 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. MT. All proceeds from the event, which allows supporters, partners, and other members of the community to meet and hear from Rapids players and staff, will be donated to Kroenke Sports Charities.
Individual tickets to the luncheon can be purchased for $100, while a table consisting of nine guests and a Rapids player or coach costs $1000. The proceeds will go to programs committed to improving the lives of children and families throughout Colorado, via Kroenke Sports Charities. The Rapids are currently in preseason training, and will travel to California on Saturday for a series of scrimmages and exhibition matches. The 2012 season opens on March 10 at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, when the Rapids host the Columbus Crew.
