Kitchener Rangers News Release

Kitchener, ON: After a successful 2006-07 regular season the Rangers (47-17-1-3) are now setting their sights on their first round playoff opponents, the Sarnia Sting (34-24-5-5).

The Rangers will host the Sting in game 1 of their playoff series on Thursday, March 22nd (7:00 p.m.) at The Aud.

The Rangers had originally announced that the 1st game of this series would be on Friday, March 23rd. This was done to allow as much time as possible for fans to plan after working out schedules with all three possible opponents. The OHL subsequently indicated that they would not approve the schedule that had been submitted for the Sarnia and Kitchener series. As a result of the S.S.E.C. in Sarnia not being available for March 28th & 29th and The Aud in Kitchener not being available for Thursday, March 29th, it was necessary to start the series on Thursday in order to complete the series deadline date and allow sufficient rest time between games for the players.

A reminder that season ticket holders have until the end of business on Tuesday, March 20th to purchase their seats for game 1. All unclaimed season tickets will go on sale to the public on Wednesday, March 21st at 10 a.m.
