
Rampage's JoJo Polk featured in Men's Health

In the June issue of Men's Health, Grand Rapids Rampage defensive specialist JoJo Polk is featured with three other athletes who have overcome serious injuries or physical disabilities to become elite professionals in their respective sports.
Polk was paralyzed from the waist down in an arenafootball2 game in 2000. He battled back and a year later was winning an ArenaBowl title with the Rampage. In ArenaBowl XV, Polk intercepted a pass, forced a fumble, recorded 7.0 tackles and broke up four passes. He received the AFL's Most Inspirational Award and was a member of the 2001 AFL All-Rookie team.
Other athletes featured in the piece include a blind triathlon gold medalist, a deaf minor-league pitcher and a hockey goalie with multiple sclerosis.
