
AFL to donate up to 10 percent of ArenaBowl ticket revenue to public education foundation

NEW YORK - The Arena Football League is teaming up with Las Vegas' Public Education Foundation to support area schools. Up to 10 percent of all ArenaBowl ticket revenue will be donated to the Foundation in support of the Clark County School District.
"Our Mission Statement begins with 'To serve our community with pride and passion,' so it is only appropriate that we are giving something back to Las Vegas," said President, AFL Events JOE VRANKIN. "We are thrilled that significant revenue generated from ArenaBowl XX will help local schools, which are in need right now because of their unprecedented growth."
Tickets for ArenaBowl XX Las Vegas are priced at $75, $60, $45, $18 and $12, and are available now by logging on to www.arenabowl.com or by calling 1-866-AFL-TIXS. Tickets priced at $125 are sold out. Local Las Vegas residents can also log onto The Clark County Public Education Foundation's Web site at www.ccpef.org and link directly to the ArenaBowl's ticket page on UNLV Tickets' site.
"The Public Education Foundation is very appreciative of the Arena Football League's support of our public school children," said Foundation president JUDI STEELE. "We rely heavily on support from organizations such as the AFL to accomplish our mission of improving the quality of teaching and learning in Southern Nevada."
The Public Education Foundation supports the Clark County School District which is comprised of 317 schools and almost 19,000 teachers. Approximately 300,000 students are currently enrolled and 12,000 to 15,000 new students arrive each year. The Clark County School District serves a diverse population including Las Vegas, one of the fastest growing cities in the nation, as well as towns, cities and remote villages throughout Southern Nevada.
