Rampage Women's Football Academy Set for April 24

The Second Annual Grand Rapids Rampage Women's Football Academy presented by Huntington will take place at Van Andel Arena on April 24. Designed to teach women the fundamentals of football, the academy provides participants with the opportunity to take part in actual football exercises while gleaning a behind the scenes look at the experience of being a professional football player.

Each participant will be assigned to a team and take part in on-field training including passing and receiving drills, tackling, kicking, and defensive secondary techniques. All skills are taught by Rampage players and coaches. After the drills, the teams will play scrimmages against one another. The academy concludes with a reception featuring food and beverages.

The three-hour academy will run from 6-9:00 p.m. with check-in starting at 5:30 p.m. Space is limited to 64 participants and pre-registration is required. The cost to attend the academy is $85 and includes a jersey t-shirt, quarterback wristband, four tickets to a Rampage game and admittance to a post-event reception.
