Grand Rapids Rampage News Release

GRAND RAPIDS - The Grand Rapids Rampage began celebration of their upcoming 10th Anniversary Season today (Aug. 29) with the unveiling of a special commemorative logo. The emblem features Grand Rapids' distinctive skyline above a bold and distinctive 'X,' a Roman numeral expressing the Rampage's tenure as West Michigan's Arena Football League team.

"The Grand Rapids Rampage 10th Anniversary logo does an excellent job of communicating the excitement and magnitude of the upcoming season," said John Ferin, creative director of Justice and Monroe Advertising and one of the project's lead designers. "Ten years is a major accomplishment that should be celebrated by the Grand Rapids community, and we wanted to make sure the logo was made in that spirit."

Rampage season ticket holders received a sneak peak at the 10th Anniversary logo this afternoon during a special unveiling at Van Andel Arena. Sparky McEwen, Rampage head coach and director of football operations, joined the public for a light lunch while Ferin and Chris Stewart, art director at J&M, explained their vision.

The Grand Rapids Rampage kicked off their first season in 1998 and captured an AFL championship in 2001. For ticket information and continuing coverage of the 10th Anniversary Season, visit RampageFootball.com.
