Grand Rapids Rampage quarterback Michael Bishop will try to win his first professional football championship this Sunday at 6pm when the Toronto Argonauts take on the British Columbia Lions in the 92nd Grey Cup in Ottawa.
Toronto beat the Montreal Alouettes 26-18 to earn their first Grey Cup appearance since 1997. Montreal featured Rampage lineman Teto Simpson, who recorded a career-high eight sacks this season with the Als.
Bishop served as starting QB for the Argos for eight games this season and threw for 1,508 yards with six touchdowns. He also rushed for 408 yards and five more scores.
With the Rampage last season, Bishop started the team's lone victory of the season and passed for 425 yards with nine touchdowns to just two interceptions. He also finished second in rushing on the team with 51 yards and a touchdown.
