Rampage in Chicago Sunday for Second Amtrak Classic Game

Grand Rapids Rampage News Release

ROSEMONT, Ill. - The Grand Rapids Rampage will look for revenge against the Chicago Rush here tomorrow (April 20) in the second installment of the Amtrak Classic. The Rampage fell to the current Central Division leaders earlier this season at Van Andel Arena, 64-35, and hope to stave off a similar fate when they descend on Allstate Arena Sunday.

Last week, Grand Rapids suffered its second straight non-conference defeat, dropping a 75-56 decision to the Orlando Predators. Coached by Jay Gruden, the Predators won their fifth game in a row against the Rampage after building a big lead thanks to 28 consecutive second quarter points. The Grand Rapids defense had trouble slowing Orlando star receiver T.T. Toliver, who logged over 180 receiving yards and was named the AFL's Offensive Player of the Week.

Some good news came to the Rampage this past week, however, as the team was finally able to activate receiver Cole Magner (Palmer, Alaska), linebacker Michael McFadden (Saginaw, Mich.) and fullback Terrell Browden (Baton Rouge, La.) from its injured reserve list. Should Browden see playing time this weekend, he will be the sixth different fullback to suit up for Grand Rapids this season.

Meanwhile, the Rampage also waived defensive linemen Rahim Abdullah (Jacksonville, Fla.) and Jason Holman (Midlothian, Va.), and placed fullback Fitu Tu'ua (Oceanside, Calif.) on their injured reserve list.

Rampage fans can hear every snap of Sunday's Amtrak Classic game against the Rush with play-by-play voice Joe Parson at RampageFootball.com beginning at 2:45 p.m. EDT. Kickoff is slated for 3 p.m. For additional information including updated schedules, rosters, and ticket options, visit RampageFootball.com.
