
Rampage Add Two to Sales Staff

GRAND RAPIDS - The Grand Rapids Rampage announced the hiring of two new members to its sales staff for the upcoming 2008 Arena Football League season. John VanderHaagen will serve as the team's director of ticket sales, while Jakara Hubbard will become a corporate sales account executive.
VanderHaagen returns to the Rampage after working in the team's ticket sales department from 1999-2003, a time period when Grand Rapids routinely set attendance records. After leaving the Rampage in 2004, he took a position with Clear Channel Entertainment (now Live Nation) in concert production, served as the group sales manager for Van Andel Arena and the DeVos Performance Hall, and was the director of promotions and operations at the historic Orpheum Theatre in Wichita, Kan. The Okemos, Mich., native received his bachelor's degree in business and communications from Calvin College in 2001.
Hubbard arrives in Grand Rapids after spending the 2007 AFL season as a corporate sales intern with the Chicago Rush. In 2005 she served a similar role with the Joliet Jackhammers, an independent baseball team, and participated in the Illini Externship Program at the University of Illinois at Chicago's Athletic Department. The Monee, Ill., native recently graduated from the University of Illinois with a bachelor's degree in sport management.
