Rallo Returns From Iowa

Boise, ID - The Idaho Steelheads of the ECHL announced today that rookie center Greg Rallo has been released from his American Hockey League PTO with the club's AHL affiliate, the Iowa Stars, and subsequently returned to the Steelheads.

Rallo, a native of Gurnee, Illinois, scored the game-winning goal for Iowa in Game Three of their Western Conference Quarter Finals series against Omaha on Monday, April 23. Originally loaned to Iowa on January 31, Rallo posted five points (3g, 2a) in 28 regular season games with the Stars, while collecting 31 points (13g, 18a) in 37 games with the Steelheads, ranking seventh on the squad in scoring.

The Ferris State University product will play tonight in Game Three of the best-of-seven National Conference Semi-Finals series against the Las Vegas Wranglers and is expected to center the line of wingers John Lammers and Tuomas Mikkonen.

In a separate transaction, winger Kyle Bruce was placed on the 7-day IR today. Bruce, who missed the last 65 regular season games due to injury, returned to the lineup during the Steelheads first round series versus the Stockton Thunder, going scoreless in four postseason contests.
