Rainmen Wash out Storm in Road Win

(Halifax, NS) The Halifax Rainmen defeated the Summerside Storm on Thursday night at the EastLink Arena in front of 1,863 fans. The final score of the game was 122 to 107.

The Rainmen displayed a fantastic team effort with eight of eleven players scoring in the double digits. Leading all Rainmen was Lawrence Wright with 19 points in only 20 minutes of play. Eric Crookshank had a double-double with ten rebounds and ten points, shooting five-for-six from the floor. Taliek Brown also had a double-double with 11 assists and 12 points.

Leading the Storm was Mike Williams with 27 points and 15 rebounds. Eric Gilchrese chipped in with 18 points. The Storm shot a dismal 47 per cent from the charity stripe, while the Rainmen shot 76 per cent. The box score statistics can be found at www.dakstats.com.

The Rainmen will play their next game at the Halifax Metro Centre on Sunday at 2 p.m., when they host the Oshawa Power for the first time this season.
