Rainmen Sign Shooting Guard Tony Bennett

(Halifax, N.S.) Coach of the Halifax Rainmen, Rick Lewis announced today the signing of Chicago shooting guard Tony Bennett to the Rainmen roster. The 6'0" 180lbs 25 year old will join the team for tonight's game against the Manchester Millrats.

Last fall Bennett played for Mexico Durango where he averaged 16 points per game. In 2007 Bennett played in Finland URA where he averaged 37 ppg. While at Bradley College in Illinois, Bennett was awarded Missouri Valley Conference All-Newcomer in 2005.

"Bennett can effectively score in several different ways, says Coach Lewis. "He will bring some depth in our wing play."

Halifax will battle Manchester for first place in the Atlantic Division of the PBL tonight. Game time is 7pm from the Halifax Metro Centre.
