Halifax Rainmen News Release
The Halifax Rainmen are pleased to announce they have signed six-foot-six 200lb swingman Akeem Wright, pending FIBA clearance. Wright played 13 games in the NBL in 2012 for the Moncton Miracles and averaged 19.8 points, 7.9 rebounds , and 4.2 assists.
"Akeem is the kind of player who can put the ball on the floor, get to the hole and finish," said Rainmen head coach Robert Spon. "He also is a very good defender who can block a lot of shots as well. Akeem is very athletic and is just an all around exciting player to watch."
Wright is expected to join the team February 1.
The Rainmen are back in action again at home Thursday night at 7 pm vs the Windsor Express.
