Rainmen Set to Fight for Playoff Lives on Wednesday in Halifax

(LONDON, ON) The Halifax Rainmen fell to the London Lightning in game two of the National Basketball League of Canada championship playoff series. The final score of the game was 113-96.

Leading the Rainmen was Taliek Brown by 20 points, followed by Christian "T-Bear" Upshaw with 18. Darnell Hugee had 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Rainmen, while Chris Hagan had 13 and Lawrence Wright had 10.

London's Eddie Smith had 25 points, followed by Gabe Freeman with 21 points and 13 rebounds, and Tim Ellis with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Brandon Dean had 11 points for the Lightning. The box score statistics are available at www.dakstats.com.

The Rainmen will return to the Halifax Metro Centre for game three of the series on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. where they will fight for their playoff lives in the best-of-five series.

If the Rainmen win on Wednesday, they will force game four to be played in Halifax on Thursday at 7 p.m., with game five being played on Sunday in London, if necessary.
