Rainmen Gain Revenge on Mill Rats

(HALIFAX, NS) The Halifax Rainmen defeated the Saint John Mill Rats in a thrilling come-from-behind win on Friday evening at the Metro Centre in front of 4,301 fans. The final score of the game was 101-98.

Leading the Rainmen to victory was Chris Hagan with 23 points, who experienced increased pressure after the Rainmen's starting point guard, Taliek Brown, was taken out of the game with a finger injury in the second half. Darnell Hugee netted 14 points for the Rainmen, while Joey Haywood had 13 points and Jusitn Johnson had 13 points and 12 rebounds. Tyrone Levett added 12 points in the win. The Rainmen's second chance points ranked in at 24 in comparison to Saint John's 2.

Jermaine Blackburn led the Mill Rats with 22 points followed by Darren Duncan with 16. Kevin Francis and PJ Young added 12 points for the Mill Rats, while Courtland Buford added 11.

The Rainmen will play their next game on the road against the Quebec Kebs on Sunday, February 26 at 1:00 p.m. EST. They will return to the Metro Centre for their last home game of the regular season on Thursday, March 1 against the Moncton Miracles.
