Rainmen End Season In Game Three Of Playoff Series

April 8, 2011 - Premier Basketball League (PBL) - Halifax Rainmen News Release

The Halifax Rainmen ended their season on Friday night as they fell to the Lawton Fort-Sill Cavalry by a score of 102 to 92 in the final game of the semi-final playoff series.

With only seven players dressed, the Rainmen traded baskets with the Cavalry, often maintaining the lead, for three and a half quarters of the game. During the last five minutes however, the Cavalry took charge of the scoreboard.

The leading scorer for the Rainmen was DeAndre Thomas with 23 points, followed by Trayvon Lathan with 17 and Marshall Brown with 16. Jamel White, Eric Crookshank and Taliek Brown had 12 points each. The box score statistics can be found at
