GARY, Ind. - The Railcats will be "Entertaining The Region" in 2012 with amazing specials every day of the week. There will be great savings and giveaways for all 50 RailCats home games. The fireworks begin, literally, on Opening Day, May 25 which will be the first of seven Fireworks Fridays this season.
The weekend kicks off early on Thirsty Thursdays at The Steel Yard, where Miller Lite and Miller Genuine Draft beer will be sold for just $1. Every Friday home game features a post-game fireworks extravaganza. Souvenir Saturdays will include a premium giveaway item that will be subject to availability.
Families will find a great deal on Times Family Sundays, when fans can purchase four tickets, four hot dogs and four pops for $36 when presenting the RailCats coupon from The Times Newspapers. Kids will also have the opportunity to run the bases after every Sunday game.
Fans of George Washington will love Dollar Mondays, when fans can buy one ticket and get a second ticket for just $1. Hot dogs, chips, soda, popcorn and other select items will also be available for just a buck.
On Free Pizza Tuesdays, fans will receive a free slice of pizza with the purchase of a reserved or box seat ticket. Wing It Wednesday features 50 cent wings which will be available for purchase inside the Diamond Club.
The full schedule of nightly promotions will be announced in the coming months. The RailCats will open the 2012 season on May 17, with the Home Opener on May 25 at U. S. Steel Yard.
