Prince Lurvell Hall was born Nov. 21, 1986 in Moreno Valley, California. He starred at Moreno Valley High School under coach Ted Watkins. In his last two seasons Hall had 292 tackles, 10 sacks, 16 TFLs, six interceptions and two forced fumbles on defense, while rushing for 1,850 yards and 25 touchdowns on offense.
His senior year Hall had collegiate offers from Alabama, Arizona, Oklahoma, Oregon and Oregon State, he eventually committed to Alabama.
Hall, was recruited and starred as a freshman under coach Mike Shula in 2006, before coach Nick Saban replaced Shula in 2007. In 2006, under Shula, Hall started nine times, playing in all 13 games and was one of the top true freshmen in the SEC. He amassed 77 tackles on the year, third-best on the team, and led the team with 10.5 tackles-for-loss as a rookie. Prince also had two fumble recoveries, including one for a touchdown.
One of the best young defensive players in the SEC in 2006, Hall was a Coaches and Sporting News Freshman All-SEC selection. He was also a 2006 Freshman All-American (The Sporting News and Rivals.com) and a 2007 Preseason First-Team All-SEC selection (The Sporting News).
Having dedicated his collegiate career to the coach that recruited him (Shula), Hall found it difficult to adjust under Saban's regime. A standout freshman with such accolades in a dominant SEC conference, Hall grew frustrated with his situation and decided to transfer his senior A0 "Prince Hall has decided to transfer to Central Washington for his senior season," Saban commented. "We wish him the best of luck as he finishes his collegiate career."
Prince had the following remarks before his 2 "I would like to thank the University of Alabama, Coach Saban and the staff for helping me during my career. I think it will be a great opportunity to finish my last year of college at Central Washington, and I am looking forward to it."
Central Washington is an NCAA Division II school in Ellensburg, Wash. The Wildcats went 10-2 in 2008, earning a playoff berth. Hall went on to lead the Wildcats in 2009 with 104 tackles; also having 16 TFL, 2 sacks, 3 interceptions and 4 pass break ups, he was later named an All-American.
In 2010 Hall signed with a local Washington indoor football team, the Yakima Valley Warriors. Coincidently the Warriors were owned/coached by Raiders owner/head coach Michael Mink. After a year in Yakima Prince went on to play two seasons with the Colorado Ice in the IFL. Hall then took the 2013 season off before recently signing with the Raiders and reuniting with coach A0 "He might be quiet off the field but when he puts on those pads that young man loves to hit you square in chin. Not only will he be a terror on our defense but his athletic versatility will make him a threat on both sides of the ball," explained Mink.
Prince expressed the following when asked about his decision to join the A0 "I am happy to join the Raiders organization for the 2014 season. I want to thank coach Mink and the team for giving me the opportunity to play and continue to better my talents. I know we'll go into camp have a winning mentality and that will continue throughout the year."
The Marine Raiders have put a strong emphasis on developing prospects locally for the 2014 season. The team has brought back players: Kendrick Stewart, Jason Harmon, Munir Muawwakkill, Adrian Smith, Daudi Marshall and David Beale, all of whom are Polk County C2 "Prince's decision to come play for us this season stems from his belief that we will accept nothing less than a championship. We knew we would need a few players from out of town to complete the roster but those players will be determined to fulfill our goal of winning. Prince has showcased and developed his talents all around the US through well-established programs. He knows the Raiders hold the same standards and expect more from our players; which lead him to choosing us over several other programs," commented Personnel Director Dave Del Col.
The Marine Raiders are set to kick off their home opener on March 29th in the newly founded X-League. All home games are played at the Lakeland Center in Lakeland, FL. Tryouts will continue to be held until the team's training camp in early March when the roster will be finalized.
