Prince Albert SK - The Prince Albert Raiders regret to announce that long time billet Ruth "Grams" Pollock passed away this morning at the age of 90.

Grams billeted Raider players for 20 consecutive years, starting with her grandson Troy Hjertaas in the 1988-89 season. Over two decades, Grams billeted many players, including Donovan Hextall, Richard Seeley, Derek Paget, David Van Drunen, Milan Kraft, Shane Willis, Dane Byers Rejean Beauchemin, Aki Seitsonen, Shane Hnidy, Mike McGhan, Ryan White, David Aime, Mike Small, Greg Watson, Jordan Kochan and Brandon Herrod. Her billeting duties came full circle in 2008, when she billeted her grandson Zach Sim.

Ruth was the first member of the Raider organization to receive the WHL Distinguished Services Award in 2008, which recognizes individuals who have made an extraordinary contribution to a WHL Club for an extended period of time. The award is presented to those who have worked countless hours behind the scenes in key areas of a WHL Club's operations.

"The Raider organization is deeply saddened to lose such an important member of our family. Grams will be always remembered for her generosity, dedication and kind heart," said Raiders General Manager Bruno Campese.

Funeral details are yet to be announced.
