Raging Tide Sign UMass Teammates

Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide News Release


OLD ORCHARD BEACH, ME- The Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide has announced the signing of University of Massachusetts teammates Dylan Begin and Kyle Adie.

Begin and Adie are currently juniors and both players will be making their debut for the Tide this summer.

Begin, a St. Albans, Vermont native, is coming off of an impressive sophomore season at UMass which saw the right handed first Baseman finishing with a .284 batting average, 44 hits, and three home runs. Begin also finished with a team-high 12 doubles, 18 RBI, and 15 runs scored for the Minutemen.

Right Fielder and Dracut, Massachusetts native Kyle Adie comes to the Raging Tide after starting 26 games for the Minutemen in 2012. Adie finished the season with a .241 batting average, 12 RBI's, scored 25 runs and stealing 16 bases without being caught. Highlights of Adie's 2012 season also included a 12 game hit streak for UMass.

Opening Night for the Raging Tide begins at 7:00pm on Thursday, June 6th at The Ballpark in Old Orchard Beach against the Seacoast Mavericks.
