Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide News Release

OLD ORCHARD BEACH, ME - The Raging Tide continue to churn out returning players from previous seasons. This week they announced the return of Lincoln Sanborn and Graham McIntire. Both players are returning for their second season in Old Orchard Beach. Sanborn was a part of the 2012 season, while McIntire is a returning member of last year's team that made it to the semifinals of the FCBL playoffs.

Sanborn is a 6'3" pitcher who hails from Standish, Maine. He starred at Bonny Eagle High School for four years as a starting pitcher. He earned SMAA and All-State honors during his senior season and was named the Maine Pitcher of the Year, earning himself the Hadlock Award. He posted a 1.41 ERA while going 6-0 in the process. After spending 2011 at St. John's University, Sanborn transferred to St. Joseph's College of Maine for the 2012 season. He was a two way player that season, starring at third base and starting seven games. He hit .291 on the season while also going 7-0 with a 2.87 ERA on the mound. That earned him D3baseball.com All-New England 3rd Team, Regional All-Tournament, and All-Conference 2nd Team as a pitcher and utility player honors, as well as being named a GNAC All-Academic in the classroom. He continued on to go 1-1 with a 2.00 ERA for the Raging Tide during their 2012 season. For St. Joe's this season, Sanborn has currently started three games, going 2-0 with a 2.84 ERA and 22 strikeouts.

Returning with Sanborn is Marist outfielder, Graham McIntire. The 6'0" native of Concord, NH is currently in his sophomore year. McIntire attended Concord High School where he won a State Championship in 2012, was a two-time first-team All-State selection and was named All-State Player of the Year runner-up in 2011. In his freshman year at Marist, McIntire appeared in 37 games, hit .281 with 13 RBIs and 13 runs scored. He also tallied seven multi-hit games. During his 2013 season with the Raging Tide, Graham hit .214 with 4 homeruns and 23 RBIs. Marist is currently 13 games into its 2014 season where McIntire is currently hitting .327 with 8 runs, 4 doubles, a homerun, 6 RBIs and 4 stolen bases. He'll look to carry that over to this summer in Old Orchard Beach.
