Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide News Release

The Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide has announced the signing of Pitcher Adam Ogburn. Ogburn, a junior at Rollins College and Panama City native, will be making his return to Old Orchard Beach after pitching for the Tide last summer.

During his 2012 campaign with Old Orchard Beach, Ogburn was one of five Raging Tide players selected to the inaugural FCBL All Star Game. In 20 appearances, Ogburn compiled a 2-2 record along with 3.27 ERA in 44 innings pitched.

"We are very happy to have Oggie back this summer; he was a fan favorite here last year and put forth his best effort on and off the field "said GM Taylor McCarthy.

In entering his third season with Rollins, Ogburn is coming off a Sophomore year in which he made fifteen appearances for the Tars in 22.2 innings pitched and finishing with a 1-1 record.

"Old Orchard Beach made me feel as if I were already living my dream last summer, not just chasing it, the way life should be" said Ogburn.

The Tide will be back in action this June as they enter their second season as a member of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League of New England.
