Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide News Release
OLD ORCHARD BEACH, ME - With the departure of General Manager, Taylor McCarthy, the Raging Tide have remained consistent in naming Taylor Fisher, of Merrimac, MA, as McCarthy's replacement. The move comes just days after McCarthy accepted a job as the Marketing Director for the Stockton Ports, the Oakland Athletics Single-A Affiliate, of the California League.
Fisher joins the Raging Tide organization after spending the 2013 FCBL season in Lynn, MA, as an intern for the North Shore Navigators. As an intern he served under GM Bill Terlecky and Assistant GM Ashley Laramie.
"I am truly humbled to be granted this opportunity at such a young age. I look forward to working with the Gallo's and Skinner's to help expand the Raging Tide fan base and have success in 2014 and beyond," Fisher said.
Taylor received his Bachelor of Science in Corporate Finance & Accounting from Bentley University in 2011 and just recently received his Master of Sports Leadership from Northeastern University in September 2013.
The Raging Tide look to expand on their 2013 success where they registered their first FCBL playoff appearance.
"Taylor (McCarthy) helped to build a strong organization here in Old Orchard Beach, and I want to continue to build off of his success here. He laid the foundation with the Gallo's and Skinner's. I want to help them make the next step," Fisher concluded.
The Raging Tide ownership team is equally excited on the hiring of Taylor Fisher. "He brings a new level of enthusiasm to the organization and we are excited to see what he will accomplish in the 2014 season," said Chris Skinner, Owner.
