Rage Sign Eight Players From Open Tryout

St. Charles, MO - The RiverCity Rage Professional Football Team has announced the signing of eight players from their open tryout held on Sunday. Rage Head Coach, Eric Van Tassel, was very pleased with the outcome of the Thanksgiving weekend tryout.
"I thought it would be a tough date to hold the tryout," said Van Tassel. "However, I was impressed by the level of talent that was there. To sign eight athletes out of this tryout is outstanding."
The tryout was held at The Family Arena in St. Charles and attracted over 20 prospective players. Of the eight signed players, seven are residents of the greater St. Louis area.
"I was more impressed with the quality of players we had at the tryout," said the San Diego, CA native Van Tassel. "This was more talent than I have seen at some of the tryouts I've been to in California. The city of St. Louis should be proud."
The Rage will be hosting another open tryout in January prior to opening camp for the 2008 season. The specific date and times of the tryout will be announced soon.
The Rage regular season begins Sunday, March 9th as they host the Colorado Ice at 3:00. For the full Rage schedule please visit ragefootball.com.
The RiverCity Rage Professional Indoor Football team is a member of the United Indoor Football League. All Rage home games are played at The Family Arena in St. Charles, MO.
