
Rage qualify for playoffs

St. Louis, May 29, 2006-By defeating the Bulldogs of Dayton 74-9 on Friday night, the Rage clinched a 2006 playoff birth and moved to (8-1) overall and (5-0) in the Atlantic Conference.
Offensively, the Rage were led by QB Anthony Fisher who finished the game completing 14 of 19 passes and throwing for 4 touchdowns. Sha-Ron Edwards also lifted the high power offense with 98 yards and 4 touchdowns on the ground.
Coming into the game, Rage head coach Mike Wyatt said, "Fundamentals win games. We have to take care of the little things, like blocking, tackling, throwing and catching." Defensively, LB Joe Bevis was the "fundamental spark," with 10 tackles and 1 sack. Adam Warren added 2 sacks, while Jarrit Green, Marquis Hayes, and Mike Matranga who wore #7 instead of his usual #53 all added 1 sack each.
Red-Zone Equals Bright Times
One of the things that has been a great asset to the Rage this season has been the Red-Zone. The Rage entered the game against Dayton, scoring a league best 89.2% of the time. Friday night the Rage built on that going 9-9.
