Quesnel Suspended Four Games

February 4, 2009 - Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) News Release


BOUCHERVILLE, Wednesday, February 4, 2009 - The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League Disciplinary Prefect today announced that left-winger Alexandre Quesnel of the Gatineau Olympiques has been suspended four games following a dangerous cross-check on Rimouski Océanic center Félix Lefrançois which occurred during last Saturday's game.

The decision was rendered after reviewing the videotape of the incident and after consulting all concerned parties.

In accordance with the QMJHL policy in the matter of disciplinary sanctions, the Disciplinary Prefect will not be available for further comment.
