
Quebec Remparts receive fine

BOUCHERVILLE, Monday, March 26, 2007 - The Commissioner of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, Gilles Courteau, today imposed a $3,500 fine to the Quebec Remparts for comments made by their head coach, Patrick Roy, which were considered detrimental to the QMJHL, the Disciplinary Committee and its members.
The comments were made following the Disciplinary Committee's decision to suspend Remparts forwards Brent Aubin and Ruslan Bashkirov on Tuesday, March 13.
In accordance with the QMJHL policy in the matter of disciplinary sanctions, the Commissioner will not be available for further comment.
