QMJHL Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League

Graham receives additional suspension

Published on March 26, 2007 under Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) News Release

BOUCHERVILLE, Monday, March 26, 2007 - The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League disciplinary committee today imposed an additional one-game suspension to St. John's Fog Devils forward Ryan Graham.

The suspension follows an incident that occurred in the second game of the best-of-seven series against the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles last Saturday in which Graham illegally hit an opposing player from behind. Thus, after receiving an automatic one-game suspension for the gesture, Graham will miss the next two contests.

The decision was rendered after viewing the videotape of the incident and consulting all concerned parties. The suspension is in effect as of today.

In accordance with the QMJHL policy in the matter of disciplinary sanctions, the disciplinary committee will not be available for further comment.
