Quakes Set For Action-Packed Six-Game Homestand

Rancho Cucamonga, CA- Fresh off a six- game trip to San Bernardino and Lancaster, the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes are back in the friendly confines of the Epicenter, where they have unpacked their bags for a six-game, two-opponent homestand.

Tuesday evening starts a three-game set with the Inland Empire 66ers, the Los Angeles Dodgers' California League club. The 66ers are the Quakes closest rival, and this season is the first season that both teams have been affiliated with the Angels and Dodgers simultaneously, yielding the Inland Empire region's very own "Freeway Series." The 66ers have a balanced attack and are currently in third place in the south division (14-11) in the season's second half. The Quakes are in fourth place, although they took two of three against their San Bernardino-based rivals last week on the road. In addition to all of the fun of Quakes baseball, this homestand Sara Lee will be providing fans with loaves of bread and valuable coupons to take home after each game!

Tuesday evening is a 7:05 PM start; Throwback Two-For Tuesday sponsored by KOLA. Fans can purchase two club seats for the price of one! Gates open at 6:05 PM.

Wednesday is a special day-game matinee at 1:05 PM. Every Wednesday is a Weenie Wednesday, sponsored by K-FROG and Hebrew National. Hot dogs will be available for just one dollar, and the Quakes will have special plans in store to help fans beat the summer heat. So skip out on work and come to the ballpark. Gates open at 12:05 PM.

Thursday's game is a 7:05 PM start to wrap up the series with the 66ers and is Thirsty Thursday sponsored by KCAL. Draft beers will be on sale for $1 through the fifth inning, and fountain sodas will be $1 all game long. Gates open at 6:05 PM.

Friday evening the Modesto Nuts roll into town for the first time in 2007. The Colorado Rockies affiliate is 15-10 and in first place in the loop's north division, while carrying some of the best talent in the Rockies system, including Eric Young Jr., who has over 50 stolen bases this season. Friday's 7:05 PM start will feature POST-GAME FIREWORKS. Gates open at 6:05 PM.

Saturday evening's game is a 7:05 PM start. The first 1,500 fans through the turnstiles will receive a Cooler Bag, courtesy of the City of Rancho Cucamonga. Gates open at 6:05 PM.

Sunday afternoon is a 5:05 PM start will feature a Quakes Team Cap Stone Giveaway presented by Nestle for the first 1,500 fans here at The Epicenter. Sunday is also Military Appreciation Day, and all active and retired military may receive a complimentary club seat (with proper Military ID), and invite their families (with proper Military Dependent card) in for a discounted price of $5. There will be a pre-game flyover and Military vehicles displayed in front of the stadium, plus the Quakes will be wearing special camouflage uniforms which will be auctioned off in a silent auction during the game. And as with every Sunday home game, kids can Run the Bases following completion of the game. Gates open at 4:05 PM on Sunday.
