
QMJHL names its scholastic players of the month of October

BOUCHERVILLE, Thursday, November 15, 2007 - Team academic consultants from around the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League today released the names of the scholastic players of the month of October. This initiative, which was created by the QMJHL and its member clubs, aims to recognize student athletes who perform not only on the ice, but in the classroom as well.
Here is the listing of this month's award winners, who are eligible to win the Marcel-Robert Trophy as the QMJHL Scholastic player of the Year. The Guy-Lafleur bursary, worth $6,000, is also awarded to the winner at the Golden Puck Awards Gala, which is held in April.
