Tennessee Valley Raptors News Release

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – There will be some familiar faces on the Tennessee Valley Pythons coaching staff when the 2005 United Indoor Football season gets under way in March.

Pythons coach Dick Adams has announced that Tennessee Valley veteran assistant coaches Marty Hammond and Tracy Kendall have agreed to join his staff and that former team assistant John Kirk would rejoin the club for its inaugural UIF campaign.

"I'm looking forward to working with them,'' Adams said. "They have all been part of a winning program and that's what we're looking for to carry on. I 'm excited and now it's a matter of finding some players so we can go to work."

Kendall, a former Alabama A&M and Tennessee Valley standout, will enter his third season after serving as assistant defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach in 2004.

It will be Hammond's fourth season with the team. The former West Alabama star spent last season as Tennessee Valley's assistant offensive coordinator and third as wide receivers coach.

Kirk returns to the staff after serving as Tennessee Valley's offensive and defensive line coach from 2000-2003. He has also been a member of the Grissom High School football staff where he joined the Tigers in 2002 after spending over a decade as an assistant coach at Huntsville High. He also has stops at Hazlewood (1972-73) and Butler (1973-79).

**The Pythons schedule will be released on Monday, Jan. 3******
