And the show went on.
Following a season-best 5-1 week, the Jacks went into Monday ¬â¢s matchup a half-game out of first place in the Texas Collegiate League standings. They walked off the field with an 8-4 victory over the Aces and sole possession of first place.

Brad Fisher got his first win of the season on the hill going five and two-thirds innings, allowing two runs on only four hits. The Oral Roberts hurler struck out a season-high six in his third appearance.
Kirby Pellant reached base on a walk to start off the game and made his way to third on two wild pitches from Aces starter Derek Vaughn. Pellant scored on an RBI groundout by Looney to give the Jacks the early 1-0 lead. The Aces answered in the bottom of the second on a sacrifice fly to even the score at 1-1.
The Jacks jumped out ahead again the fourth with a two RBI double from Looney, plating Pellant and Colton Bickerstaff, both who reached on walks and advanced on errors from the Aces.
Jason Jester came on in the sixth inning in relief of Fisher and promptly shutdown the Aces offense. Jester allowed no hits and struck out five of the seven batters he faced in two and a third innings of relief.
The Jacks took advantage of five errors from the Aces, scoring two more in the sixth. Maggi reached on an error on the second baseman, followed by a single from Ty Marlow. Dozier then plated both base runners on single to give the Jacks a 5-2 edge.
