Pumas Fill Coaching Spot to Brim

October 5, 2010 - Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL) - Kitsap Pumas News Release

The Kitsap Pumas today announces starting goalkeeper Dustyn Brim as player/coach for the club's foray into the world of professional indoor soccer.

"This is a great opportunity and should be a lot of fun," said Brim. "I pretty much know how all the guys from the our club play, coming in," he continued, "so I won't need to learn lineups. We have a good core of guys, personalities and characters."

Brim, coming off successful back surgery did express some disappointment as his rehab schedule will conflict with a portion of the indoor season. "It will be hard to stand on the sideline and not affect play the way I'm used to," he said.

"This will be a hardworking team - very blue collar and 'head down,'" said Brim. "We won't give up on plays, I guarantee that."

Open tryouts will be held this coming Saturday morning at the Olympic Soccer and Sports Center in Bremerton, Wash. Check in starts at 10:30 a.m. and tryouts run from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Registration is $50 per player.

The club will play in the Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL-Pro) for the upcoming fall/winter professional indoor soccer league. Kitsap will play a 12-game schedule.

All trialists must complete registration forms and pay their fee prior to trying out.

Season-Ticket packages are also now on sale now via www.brownpapertickets.com.

The club will also have ticket packages on sale at team headquarters and at OSSC soon. For the short term, tickets are only available on-line.

"We have a great group of fans and I expect they'll come out and support us - especially during the winter when there isn't a great deal of options. That will be a good tie in for the outdoor season as well. The more fans we can pack in, the louder it will be - and that noise will help us - and should intimidate opponents. I hope they bring the noise."

Brim's coaching staff will named soon.

New sponsorship and promotional opportunities for companies and organizations are now available. For further information, please visit the Pumas' website or call Ben Pecora at team headquarters at 360-377-6008.
