
Six Teams Battle For Inaugural Hoosier Cup

The Hoosier Cup is approaching fast! Six teams from all over the Midwest, including the Evansville Crush, brought to you by Jagoe Homes, will take to the pitch to battle for the inaugural Hoosier Cup.
The teams joining the Crush in this year's cup will be the Paducah Wildcats of Paducah, Ky., the Rochester Rhinos - Indiana of Elkhart, Ind., Illinois Piasa FC of St. Louis, Mo., the UFC Eagles of Cincinnati, Ohio and the Louisville Lightning Reserves of Louisville, Ky. Illinois Piasa FC and the Paducah WIldcats are a part of the PASL-Premier League with the Crush.
The tournament will serve as a qualifying round of the US Open. The winner of this tournament will face the Louisville Lightning on December 10.
"We're excited about the teams coming here and can't wait to kick off the season for the Crush," team owner Chip Rossetti said. "It should be an exciting couple of days."
The first game is scheduled for kick-off at noon Saturday, Oct. 9 at the Metro Sports Center in Evansville and a total of six games will be played through out the day. The Championship Day will begin at 9 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 10.
The schedule for each day is as follows:
Saturday, Oct. 9:
12 p.m. - Paducah Wildcats vs. Rochester Rhinos-Indiana
1:30 p.m. - Louisville Lightning vs. UFC Eagles
3 p.m. - Evansville Crush vs. Illinois Piasa FC
5:30 p.m. - Rochester vs. Louisville
7 p.m. - Evansville vs. Paducah
8:30 p.m. - UFC Eagles vs. Illinois Piasa FC
Sunday, Oct. 10:
9 a.m. - Rochester vs. Illinois Piasa FC
10:30 a.m. - Paducah vs. UFC Eagles
12 p.m. - Evansville vs. Louisville
1:30 p.m. - Third place game
3 p.m. - Hoosier Cup Championship game
All games, over both days, are free to the public. Come out and support the Crush in their battle to claim the Hoosier Cup!
Season passes for the 2010-11 Crush season are now available for $25 for adults and $20 for kids, 8 years old and younger. The passes will cover admission to all PASL league home games and any non-league-exhibition game the Evansville Crush plays.
