Texas Legends News Release

FRISCO, TX - The Texas Legends (18-16) fell in a heart-breaking fiasco in the final seconds of the season-ending match against the Maine Celtics (21-13) 109-110.

The first quarter saw eight lead changes, but Olivier-Maxence Prosper and Tony Bradley combined for 23 of the Legends' 33 points to forge a seven-point advantage at the quarter break. With just under five minutes to halftime, Tyler Hall knocked down his second outsider of the quarter to give the Legends their largest lead of the night (+14). Hall finished 4-of-4 outside in the first half and Texas went into the locker room up 69-58.

After clipping over 50% in the first half, the Legends went cold, knocking down only 29% overall and 22% outside. A 10-0 run to start the third put Maine within three, but Texas responded with seven unanswered and held a 98-88 lead going into the final. The visitors chipped away at the difference, tying it up midway through thanks to a long jumper from Jordan Walsh. The next four points came from Maine, but Erik Stevenson and Prosper teamed up to even it out with one minute to play. The final seconds saw a turnover and a miss before Walsh wound up at the line sinking one of two with .4 on the clock to take the victory.

Olivier-Maxence Prosper had a career-high 28 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals to lead the Legends while Tony Bradley added 19 points, 15 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 blocks. Erik Stevenson finished with 19 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists, and Alex Fudge came off the bench for 16 points. Tyler Hall rounded out the double figures with 12 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists.

Jordan Walsh led the Celtics with 27 points, 10 rebounds joined by Drew Peterson with 17 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 assists. Former Legend Joe Wieskamp added 15 points, 9 rebounds and Neemias Queta tagged on 13 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 blocks.
