LAFAYETTE, INDIANA - The Aviators have advanced to the Prospect League Championship series against the Cape Catfish. Game one of the best of three series is Monday, August 9 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. First pitch is scheduled for 8:05 Eastern.
The Aviators will host game two Wednesday at 7:00 at Loeb Stadium. Game three, if necessary, will be played in Lafayette at Loeb Stadium on Thursday.
In the post-season, the Aviators won both the Division Championship and Conference Championship being led by Jayson Newman who has 4 HR and 9 RBIs in two playoff games.
The Aviators had the best record in the Prospect League this summer at 41 - 18. The Cape Catfish finished with the second best record at 38 - 21. The Aviators and Catfish did not meet during the regular season.
