Promotions Aplenty as Barons Return to Regions Field

Birmingham, AL - The Birmingham Barons return to Regions Field on Wednesday, May 1st to begin a five-game homestand against the Chattanooga Lookouts, Double-A Affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Thursday marks the return of Thirsty Thursday to Regions Field as fans can enjoy 16 oz. beverages for only $2.00. Fans will also be treated to a special Crawfish Boil courtesy of Cajun Steamer. Plates will be available for $10.00 in the Glowble Courtyard. Kangaroo Express will also be on hand, giving away free 20 oz. RooCups to the first 1,500 fans in attendance. The RooCup can be used for 25-cent refills on frozen and fountain drinks at Kangaroo Express all summer long! White Sox pitcher John Danks is also scheduled to make a rehab appearance for the Barons on Thursday.

Friday night is Tornado Helmet Awareness at Regions Field. Three storm radios will be raffled off to fans in attendance. Following the game, the Barons will treat fans to a Friday Night Fireworks show courtesy of Coca-Cola, Alabama Power and Glowble Lighting.

Saturday the Barons will celebrate Cinco de Mayo a day early with Cuatro de Mayo! 500 free nachos will be given away to the first 500 fans in attendance. The Barons will also have a T-Shirt Giveaway for the first 1,000 Adults ages 13 and up in attendance courtesy of Serra Kia. The Barons will also give away a grill to one lucky fan during the game courtesy of All-South Appliance.

The homestand concludes Sunday with a Salute To Armed Forces presented by DRASH. The Barons will also hold a pre-game Youth Clinic presented by Birmingham Southern College. Gates will open at 12:45 and the clinic begins at 1:00.
