
Probert and Kocur to Appear in Port Huron on Saturday

PORT HURON, MI -Former Detroit Red Wings tough guys Bob Probert and Joey Kocur, known during their tenure as the Bruise Brothers, will make a special appearance in Port Huron on Saturday, January 17.
Probert and Kocur played together on the Red Wings in the late 1980's and early 1990's and quickly earned a reputation as two of the toughest players in the National Hockey League. The pair will sign autographs from 2 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. in the Memorial Room at McMorran Arena and will reunite on the ice when the Detroit Red Wings Alumni take on Port Huron professional hockey alumni at 4:30 p.m.
The Red Wings Alumni Association also announced that former Red Wing Dino Ciccarelli has been added to the lineup for the alumni game in Port Huron. The roster includes Ciccarelli, Kocur, Probert, Shawn Burr, Dave Lewis, Paul Ysebaert, John Ogrodnick, Mickey Redmond and more.
The appearances by Probert and Kocur are part of a day of hockey action that includes a visit from the Stanley Cup. Get your picture taken with the championship trophy of the National Hockey League beginning at noon in the Memorial Room at McMorran Arena. The Cup will be available for pictures from 12 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. - 9 p.m. The cost is just $10 to take a picture with your own camera. You may take three photos with up to six people.
A number of former Detroit Red Wing greats will be on hand throughout the day to sign autographs. Hall of Famers and Stanley Cup winners Ted Lindsay and Alex Delvecchio will sign autographs from 12 p.m. - 2 p.m., Probert, Kocur and Dave Lewis will be available from 2 p.m. - 3:30 p.m., Bill Gadsby will sign from 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m., and Karen Newman, the voice of the Detroit Red Wings will sign autographs from 7:30 p.m. - 9 p.m. Get an autograph from one of these legendary players for just $10. All proceeds will benefit Kinney Charities and the charities of the Detroit Red Wings Alumni Association.
Catch hockey greats in action at 4:30 p.m. when the Detroit Red Wings Alumni take on the Port Huron professional hockey alumni. Tickets are just $5 for general admission seating. Tickets are available now at the Icehawks office, 325 Huron Avenue, Port Huron. All celebrity appearances are subject to change.
Get your final hockey fix at 7:30 p.m. when the Icehawks take on the Fort Wayne Komets. Karen Newman, the voice of the Detroit Red Wings, will be singing the national anthem. After the game, present your ticket stub at the Military Street Music Café to receive entrance to an exclusive post game party with the Stanley Cup. Karen Newman will also perform. The restaurant is located at 1102 Military Street in downtown Port Huron.
