Pringles Park To Host Three College Games

(Jackson, Tenn) - This season, Pringles Park will play host to three college baseball games. The University of Memphis will be playing against Austin Peay University, Vanderbilt University and the University of Tennessee at Martin.

The first game will be played on Tuesday, March 25 when Memphis takes on Austin Peay beginning at 6:30 p.m. On Tuesday, May 6, Memphis will go up against Vanderbilt at 7:05 p.m. Tickets are available for purchase through the University of Memphis Box Office. To purchase your tickets in advance, please call Susan Day at (901) 678-2331 or visit gotigersgo.com to purchase them online. Ticket prices for adults are $10.00 and tickets for children 12 and under are $5.00. Tickets will be available for purchase at the Diamond Jaxx Box Office on the day of each game.

On Wednesday, April 16, the University of Tennessee at Martin will take on the University of Memphis in the Razz Classic beginning at 6:05 p.m. The Razz Classic is a fundraiser that the River City Kiwanis Club of Savannah, Tennessee began eight years ago to help enhance the Bill Rasbach Scholarship Fund. The money raised is given as a scholarship to a local high school athlete. Lambuth University and Union University were the first to play in the Classic, but UT Martin has played in the Classic for the last five years since Bill Rasbach was a former player and alumni.

"Bill Rasbach was a season ticket holder for the Diamond Jaxx, so in order to grow the Classic we thought it might be beneficial to have the Razz Classic at Pringles Park," said Kevin McCasland, River City Kiwanis Club member.

Tickets for the Razz Classic may be purchased in advance by contacting Kevin McCasland at (731) 925-3913. On the day of the game, tickets for the Razz Classic game will be on sale at the Diamond Jaxx Box Office. Prices for adults will be $5.00, youth tickets (ages 10-18) will be $3.00, college students (with student i.d.) will be $1.00 and children 9 and under will be able to get in free.

Diamond Jaxx season ticket holders have the opportunity to receive free tickets to each of the college games at Pringles Park. For details on how to acquire the tickets, season ticket holders should call the Diamond Jaxx at 731-988-5299. Fans will not be able to purchase the college game tickets in advance at the Diamond Jaxx Box Office. Please call the numbers provided for advance ticket purchases.
