Ft. Mill, SC: The PrimeTime Players secured the 2012 TRBL regular season title and the top seed in the league playoffs on Saturday with a hard-fought 99-93 victory over the visiting Cary Invasion.

Reserve center Malachai Jones was the difference late, stopping Cary on consecutive possessions with a block and a steal that both lead to open lay-ups and helped seal the game for PrimeTime (10-1), who suffered from a second consecutive anemic shooting performance.

The normally smooth-shooting Players shot just 36% for the game, with leading scorers Antonio Houston and Terrell Smith combining to shoot just 8-of-25 from the floor. Houston knocked down nine free-throws to finish with 19, while Brian Mobley added 19 of his own. Jones finished with 16 points and eight rebounds.

Paul Wright led the way for the Invasion (9-3) with a game-high 24 points, while Mike Smith chipped in 17 and Anton Currie posted a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

The win moves PrimeTime into the top spot in the point standings with 46. Cary will finish the season with 45 points. PrimeTime closes out the regular season on the road next Saturday at Fayetteville before returning home for the playoffs the following week.
