Pennsylvania Rebellion News Release

MAUMEE, OH.- July 3, 2015-The PA Rebellion fell to the USSSA Pride by a final score of 4-0 on Friday, July 3. Dallas Escobedo suffered the defeat for PA while Chelsea Thomas earned the win.

The game started off with great pitching from both pitchers. While USSSA threatened with runners in scoring position in the first and second innings, Escobedo was able to make the necessary pitches to keep the game scoreless. On the other end of the spectrum, Thomas retired four consecutive Rebellion batters on strikes to open her performance. Thomas allowed just two hits all game.

A solo home run from Megan Wiggins followed by a run-scoring double from Chelsea Goodacre opened the scoring for the Pride in the third. Lauren Chamberlain added a two-run dinger in the bottom of the fifth to put USSSA ahead 4-0 late.

After a perfect sixth inning of relief from Allyson Fournier, the Rebellion bats were unable to mount a comeback, solidifying a Pride victory.
